Once they are stuck in the elevator, the passengers might get overwhelmed by fear that makes them overtry to escape leading to serious incidents. Inside of elevator is a safe place free of concerns about fall caused by broken ropes or suffocation so the passengers need to contact via intercom (call button) and wait for the rescue team to arrive.
  • In case of fire, people must use emergency stairs instead of elevators.
Fire might lead to blackout that might make passengers get stuck in the elevators and hoist way is very dangerous as it acts as a chimney of flame or smoke so that passengers would be much safer to escape from the building through emergency stairs.
